is it worth to install 2 m.2 storage in my motherboard

victor de souza

If you are running the RAID with an m.2 drive and a sata drive, you will be limited by the slower drive. If you have 2 m.2 slots, it might be worth it, but m.2 is already so fast I don't think it would be worth the risk to lose all your data for a small speed increase.

no, unless you really need the speed

one m.2 vs 2 m.2 isnt going to be much of a difference for an average user

i'd go as far as saying sata SSD and m.2/pci SSD is going to be pretty much the same for an average user

the only benefit is maybe one or two seconds faster boot time

its not worth going raid0 due to the risk of losing all your data if one dies

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

If you gonna run raid 0 you better have a backup drive or homenas. You will regret not having hackup after you lose all your data. It possible but they is no point m.2 is already fast enough.

if  you have a good m.2 you won't notice the difference. Also seems like a waste of money. I can't really think of a reason why you would need this.
