OS to SSD migration isn't working.

Just got a 480GB SSD for my birthday, super happy, so i hook it up and use Paragons software to migrate my OS to the SSD, Everything went smoothly, but after the migration i could no longer see my SSD in 'My PC'. i can see it in my BIOS and disk management though, and when i unplug my HDD to try and boot off the SSD i get an error message.

Also, i don't have a CD drive, thats a virtual one.

Best to just to a fresh install of the OS on the SSD rather then migrating it

Never clone to an SSD

 

do a clean install and you dont have to deal with these issues, or all the other issues that will come up in the future

 

cloning is the lazy way to do things, avoid it as much as possible

Alright, i have got windows 10 on a disk, to make sure i do this right. is this what i should do?

 

1: Unplug hard drive.

2: Insert disk

3: Install windows 10 to SSD.

4: Plug back in hard drive then format.

have you check the bios about the settings

like setting ahci for ssd and setting it on 1st boot

can you provide a picture on the bios?
