This Workstation/Gaming build okay?

Zeinone

Hi LTT!

My friend who is a 3d modelling artist and a gamer will soon make his own PC. He wanted to ask me to make him a build for about 2k USD including a monitor, or more if them if it's in the budget. I made a part list but to be sure i want to see if you guys can confirm/criticize this build. It's primary use will be 3d modelling using Blender (and some other software idk about) and level creation using the Unreal Editor. It's second function is obviously gaming. Here's the build (NOTE: The 980 ti is here just as a reference for the upcoming pascal cards because he will be building it in 2-3 months approx.):

Broadwell-E has been leaking for some time, i'd wait for that :)

so i assume that 5820k is also a placeholder?

That also since I've been reading that soon after these xeon's came out that Broadwell-E will be coming out, if not then the 5820K it is.

looks good

Will the noctua handle perhaps some 4.0 Ghz overclocks? That's my only concern so far in this build. Because i value silence more than 4-6 degrees cooler.

It is definitely coming out but some people think it's coming in <1 month and some think >6 months, we just don't know.
