Can you remove the Os and further more upgrade the stuff..

I think i can buy windows 10 for 20$ in Redit

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7rfxhM

If you have to, get the SSD first, then HDD when you can.

Otherwise, go with this 960

if you're going to do any serious editing or gaming you should just pirate windows server 2008, less useless services taking up cpu power like fax machine checkers.

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

windows server 2008 is windows 7, without all the junk. the newer os's have even more junk and send data to microsoft, mainly 10. which is why its free to download for older users. basically, there are programs running in the background that update every second to check whether there is any fax machines on the network, or any dialup connections or.. whatever. while this seems useful, it's running these all the times and can easily get to 20% cpu usage, which will cause less focus on games or streaming or video editing and slow things down.

TL;DR: windows server XXXX is barebones windows, that serves the basic needs that an OS needs to do.

as for pirating, no one gives a shit as long as you aint trying to sell it.

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

well do you need it right now?

also, you really shouldn't be including OS in the price and you should just save up more money, unless its not a valid option.

No room in this budget for SSD, unfortunately.

Reworked that a bit: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QnJpdC

8 cores (4 + hyper threading) but less ram

What about a SSHD? Will save him some....

That SSD uses TLC memory, which degrades faster than other SSD memory types.

And Windows isn't included

(Ya, don't get Windows server... reddit is your best bet for windows 10 (or 7/8 to upgrade to 10))

Other than that, looks good.
