Any ideas how to improve this build?

robis0

This build is going to be used in playing games at QHD (almost all games on steam), max graphics. Also for programming, project making, so I need a good CPU. Budget: €1600 (without monitor and mouse(you can share your opinion about my monitor choice)). Location: Europe.

Should go X99 if you need CPU performance, just gotta take a few hits elsewhere, new GPUs are coming a few months anyways, splurge then.

also look for this IPS 144hz 1440p display from acer, just don't get the ASUS version if you plan on using free-sync

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

That's missing the high end display, no point in getting a 980ti with a weak display
