Changing File Explorer Folders to another drive.

Hi,

 

Basically what I want to do is change the location of the: video, documents, pictures and music tabs underneath 'This Pc' to another drive (Z:) without adding a new location. 

 

I still want to use those folder links highlighted but have the content stored on the HDD only. Not my boot or games SSDs. 

 

As you can also see on the right I tried changing the location of the music folder to the (Z:) HDD and it created a separate folder. I managed to get the default music folder back but the new unwanted one remains.

Go to it's properties, should be able to change file location from there, I did on mine

 

Go to Properties > Location > Move

Those are called Libraries, BTW. 

Right click on the library- Properties - Location Tab - Move - Pick the destination - Apply and exit

Rinse and repeat

I just forgot to add the proper folders (user > documents etc). Thanks for that.

you can use the properties>location only on those media library folders

you can use symbolical links for anything, everywhere
