Hello, can someone please tell me if this build will work and will it be quiet?

 

Which 980 is the most silent and which SFX PSU do you recommend?

 

The reason I'm going with an SFX Psu is because in Linus's 18 core Titan X video the PSU obstructed the H80i and he had to make some weird bends.

I'm trying to build a near silent rig, and the only things that worry me are the gpu and psu.

I'm not sure about the sleeved cables. You don't want your cables any longer than absolutely necessary, and I believe the SFX PSUs already have shorter cable so keeping those will make your life easier.

 

PSU, I'd go with one of the SFX-L PSUs, they have a larger, and therefore slower and quieter fan. There is currently only a 500W one available at the moment, which would be enough, though I heard there was a 700W SFX-L PSU coming?

I'll look around but 500w should be enough.

 

My current system has a 5960x, 980 ti, 64gb ram and uses maybe 300-400w .
