Corsair will extend RMi, RMx, HXi and AXi series PSU warranty period to 10 Years.

No official info about it on Corsair website (so far).
But that is one reliable source, so I think it's only a matter of time.

If this applies to all units that were purchased before this point then neat! Ran an RMi here for two and a half months.

That or the failure rate of their PSUs is lower than they originally thought so they can afford to cover them longer as a selling point.

I take it this doesn't mean the AX series?  I just had my AX1200 replaced with an AXi but the replacement unit is only covered until the end of my original warranty, having it extended 3 years would be nice!

Hmm, hopefully it turns out to include the AX line as well, Ive recently bought an AX860 and havent even installed it yet, although 7 years is still a very long time for a piece of computer hardware to be covered by warranty
