Getting it along with a 360mm AIO cooler and adding 3 fans for push and pull because I like overclocking.

you want hubs for anything over 2 fans

a splitter just splits power

a hub splits the signal power and boosts it so every fan gets a proper amount of power and runs at the right speed

Thanks for the tips dude, not all the AIO coolers I find specifically say they come with a fan hub :P

Just note that PWM splitter takes a PWM signal as an input and converts it to a 3 pin DC voltage control equivalent as an output so if your using 4 pin PWM fans that will only run them with DC voltage control.

Josephdalepi already noted that PWM hubs are better for 2+ fans, but thanks anyways :D

What's the downside to that, as long as it's equivalent to the PWM signal?

it's not controlling 4 pin PWM fans with a PWM signal, but with DC voltage instead, usually that lessen the controllable range in the lower end of things so it can't run as low of an RPM. In some situations it can also cause extra motor noise or ticking with some fans but that depends.
