Was  thinking of  buying a i5 4670k and gtx780. Will the processor bottleneck the gtx780?

No, it will not bottleneck a 780. Even if it did, nothing you can do except overclock more and more.

Bottlenecking is a legitimate question...

 

Everything *can be bottlenecked, as far as each individual component goes.  Nothing has infinite performance, so yeah.  You will never have a complete system in which everything bottlenecks all at once though.  That doesn't even make sense.  Which leads us to the original question, which one will reach max potential and hold the other component back first, i5-4670K or GTX 780?  That's a sensible question.

I think even 2500k is still plenty enough for current gpus so no need to worry :).

780: 2013 - i54670k- 2013

 

Price ranges: both in the upper echelon.

Therefore same year, similiar price range= NO BOTTLENECKING.

I'm the one who overclocks.
