My bad lol

The k70 Rgb had issues with the switches and had to be recalled/discontinued. But the sabre rgb has blues.

I like to kill hardware. In 2016 alone I have killed 20 Xeon 5160, and 10+ Pentium 4.

Best full size board: The LZ-RV that'll be coming for me next month.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)

That looks pretty cool. Expensive. But i guess that happens.

I'd highly, highly recommend the G.Skill KM780. I have one, and I like it a lot more than the K70. The K70 (at least the one I had, and it's the same with my friends K95 and his wife's K70) had a sticky scroll wheel for the volume and the blue's were unbearably loud. Might just be me on that though. It has a very solid aluminium build, macro keys, LED's that show the volume status, I just find it an overall better board. Software leaves something to be desired though.

They also make the KM780R that's cheaper if you don't want the cheap feeling replaceable key caps.

Two things -

One, dont let your friend's choice of peripherals restrict your choice... thats just being an idiot

Two, dont get Razer, look for keyboards with Cherry MX switches.

I actually prefer the Razer Kaihl switches to the Cherry MX. I find Cherry switches to be too loud. I also like the Razer Chroma keyboard that came with the computer I bought, and would also consider keeping it if it weren't TKL.

K70 is your best bet. Principles won't pay for your new keyboard's replacement if it breaks or the typing experience you're compensating while using Razer. Punch your friend square in the face when he ridicules you on succumbing to Corsair.

I think that just buying a gel foam wrist rest is the best option, as the wrist rest that comes with keyboards are pretty crappy overall (Using a G710 right now). If you want to go full out macro, you could go for a K95 (corsair, I know). I believe there is an issue with the non-rgb version with LED life. A G710 is also a good option, it only has 6 macro keys though.

If you think Cherry's are too loud, you could for Cherry MX browns (Their quieter) or invest for some O-rings).
