Anyways to shave off some money?

One thing I noticed is that your vendors are very different. Do a double check on shipping costs as well for each part.

For ram, you can switch the HyperX (from SuperBiiz which you don't know the shipping) to G.Skill NT from Newegg (free ship). You would suffer a slightly slower CAS of 15 from 14, but 65 drops to 58.

For storage if using same vendor OutletPC switch the Blue (49.49) to a Barracuda (45.89).

Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (85 on Amazon) to Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB (64 on Amazon). You lose 10GB (formatting may make the difference much smaller though) and a bit of speed. Samsung and Sandisk are reputable brands with good warranty.

If you aren't gonna SLI (I see a 980ti) you can downgrade the mobo to the ASRock Z170A-X1 (92.98 Newegg). If you are gonna SLI, keep the current config.

Dropping the PSU from plat to gold (69.99 after rebate on NCIXUS or 72.99 without rebate on Amazon).

FORGOT TO MENTION: Budget is $1500

Can I have help on shaving off some money on this build? The only thing I won't change is the case.

then the 980ti would be bottlenecked. that 980ti can game at 4k resolution. if op is getting a 980ti then why would he switch to a weaker i5

I doubt it'd be bottlenecked. The switch to the i5 does seem appealing though.

I'll see what I can do with it
