How to enable black and white mode in Android

Djole123

Don't like color scheme on your phone? Want a better solution?

Here's one! This is how to enable B&W mode in Android!

1) Enable Developer Mode by going to Settings>About my phone and scrolling down to Build number. Tap a couple of times until you see "You're a developer" sign.

2) Scroll down to Developer options in Settings, enable them and scroll until you see "Simulate color space"

3) Click "Monochrome" or "Monochromacy"

That's it! You have succesfully enabled B&W mode!

To get out of it, go to Developer mode again and disable them.

Redo those steps if you need them again.

Even though this just a neat little trick, tweaking in Developer mode may harm or brick your device. I leave no responsibility if your device is buggy, stuck in a boot loop or even dead after this. Be very careful.

You can do it in iOS too :D as well as reverse colour mode, I have a triple tap set to open disability options, there is also a "Low light" filter mode which lets you drastically reduce the brightness

Yeah but since this is all in Developer mode it's kinda hidden

There are also some cool stuff in Developer mode which are worth mentioning like OEM Unlock, Stay Awake, 4x MSAA which is neat and showing screen pointers.

Also cool stuff is hidden under Accesibility like Color inversion, Magnification gestures, Flash notification and Assitant menu.
