R9 390 Max Resolution?

Really need this on deciding for my 3rd display.

 

The stupid AMD website says 6 displays, not a max resolution, like Nvidia's.

i doubt you'll buy a display with higher res than that.

Most AAA games will run fine at 1440p but some non-demanding games like CSGO and TF2 will run just fine at 4k.

it's not like all 3 monitors together can't be larger than that. You can easily hook up 3x 4k Displays to your 390 or Nvidia card. That'd be 24 million pixels.

Just buy the display.

Well, technically there is no resolution limit, but a bandwidth limit (for the cable/connector). Nvidia's limit is probably assuming you're running at 60hz.

A quick check found the maximum resolution to be 4096x2160.

This is still helpful although not the problem, thanks! I couldn't find it anywhere

The max resolution is just whatever the display interface supports. The 390 has DisplayPort 1.2, which can support 4096x2304 at 60Hz or 5120x2880 at 30Hz. If you use HDMI then the max is 4096x2160 at 24Hz.

Currently 2x 1920x1080 displays as independent displays, where the second one can be used for information during gaming, watching videos, "multitasking" or playing the timeline on a separate screen in premiere pro.

 

I have a Dell Ultrasharp U2414H 24" 1920x1080@60 and a Philips 226VL 21.5" 1920x1080@60.

 

I am deciding between:

- A perfect, regular, 60Hz display on the left, same model as my primary screen (total resolution 5760x1080@60)

- 144Hz display in the middle (total resolution 5760x1080@60/144/60)

- Ultrawide display in the middle (total resolution 6400x1080@60)
