Yes the fx 8350 can't match the R9 390X GPU power, no overclocking won't do enough. I would get a i5 6600K or a i5 6400 if you can't afford it.

 

Also don't get the V300 they changed its NAND to a slower one.

Your CPU is definitely going to bottleneck you in gaming and in CPU bound workloads such as running installers and compressing / extracting zip files. With your budget, an i5 6500 or 6600K.

 

Until the new AMD architecture is released this October-ish, there's pretty much no reason to buy an AMD CPU that isn't the Athlon x4 860K or an APU which are very much low-end.

If you're going to invest in an overclocking CPU like the 4690k, get a Z87/Z97 motherboard if you want to be able to overclock it. H97 boards (with a few rare exceptions) can't overclock CPUs.

The H97 chipset won't let you overclock the 4690K. You're gonna need a Z97 chipset board for that.

Yes that one should do the job. The Killer version is probably preferable to the Professional version because it doesn't have that many additional features you'd care about.
