dual 380(x) vs sing 970

BlackHat2000

i do own a 970 atm, but would like to crossfire with amd. My board doesn't support SLI so yea. lol. Just in general would the 970 out perform the 380(x) crossfire?

It seems a pretty bad idea to me to move to a dual 380 solution from a 970...

Assuming the game is scaling really good in CF, the 380's will outperform it by a good margin, but then again you have all the dual graphics card issues...

CPU: i7-4770k (LM modded) - MB: GA-Z87X-UD3H - RAM: HyperX, 16GB 1866MHz - GPU: Palit GTX 980Ti Super - Storage: 1TB HDD + 500GB/120GB SSD (850 Evo/840) - Monitor: Predator XB271HU - PSU: 700W BeQuiet 80+ Gold

if the game scale CF well, yes, but only if it scales really well

but i wouldnt recommend dual GPU setup when you can get a better single gpu

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Dual 380X's are better than the R9 Fury.

The best upgrade tbh would be a Fury Nano (980~) or more.

From a GTX970 ? some aftermarket 970 can many times touch reference 980 Performance. IMHO an upgrade would be a 980 Ti, both in Vram and in Raw Power, as the performance gain is big, but going from a GM204 to another GM204 card is just plain waste of money.
