I'm switching my GTX 750ti to a GTX 980ti and do I need to re install the nvidia drivers??

Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to search for updates anyway. Worst case scenario, you boot up to a black screen, switch your monitor from the GPU to the integrated graphics port and install the drivers from there.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
