FX-8350 + R9 Nano Custom Loop!

Octavialicious

Good news guys! Some good updates:

- Getting an extra 240mm radiator because temps were a tad high with the 5GHz OC (also I plan on getting a good OC on the 980Ti too)

- New 980Ti has no coil whine! PerfPC also sent me the wrong block too :D (It's a much prettier one and fully black)

- PSU is doing fine, 450W max overclocked so I'm good there

- Going to Microcenter to pick up a Sabertooth so I can get 5GHz out of my chip!

Stay tuned, sorry for the lack of pictures! Busy week

Nice, after liken 5 GPUs, you finally got a card that's faultless :D

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I hope so :P And looks like the Nano series definitely hated my Samsung 4K monitor, back to 980Ti and no problems at all (I tried like 3 different DP cables and both nano's artifacted it)

I have a 360mm and 240mm on my 8350 and it still gets mega hot, I have a 1080mm rad to add to that loop soon. We need pics!

Sneak peak!

Obs this pic has a nano, bad cable management, is missing the noctua exhaust spray painted back, and I am making the rad to GPU tube shorter :D

Boom shakalaka!

0?ui=2&ik=4118bd59a6&attid=0.1&th=1536ee

It's quiet, it's powerful, and temps are strong! Sabertooth did 5GHz ezpz, just set LLC to High and then 1.54V. It is running at 1.56v then 1.53 with VDroop, and stability is fine.

980Ti overclocking will come soon, and temperature results! Stay tuned :)

THE RED LIGHT IS GONE NOW BTW, it is so ugly with it on :( poor picture

btw how did you ever get 1866? Even with 1.7V I could still only get 1600 even though this ram is supposed to do 2400 :c

CPU/NB needs to be overclocked and it's voltage increased.

Yes but never updated it, just got too busy and forgot about it. Here's some pics of it from what I took last, it's in bits at the moment because I needed the rads out of it.

P12 with super low voltage and LNA is actually rivaling the S12A in silence, but obs it has better SP... time to switch I think!

Interesting. NF-P12 at 500 RPM is pretty much just as loud as the S12A, but with 3x of them and the rest of the radiator fanless it is maxing 63 C on the FX-8350, whilst all the radiators covered in S12As (7x) was making the chip hit 80C and shut down.

Guess too much FPI, but this is very dramatic :P

80c is your socket temp which is where the solder on the CPU will start to melt you're running far too hot.Even 63c is too hot.

I know, but if it's 63C with 3 fans it should be under 60C with 7 fans

dude I've never been this lucky

It is at 1500 even but it boosts consistently up to 1510-1520 no problems. With a custom bios this thing will be a monster... OH BTW with 5 fans CPU temp is maxing at 55 C ish but is staying in the low 50s most of the time (obs with the gpu adding heat too)

yo, are spikes to 1.572 ok? It's usually around 1.56 but on AIDA it can jump up a bit

oh btw passed AIDA fine, while maxing at 60-61 C (I'm fine with that, will never reach that temp while gaming)
