So I'm looking to get a new mouse; the last time I got one I wasn't really well informed and was gifted a Feenix Nascita. It's a very nice mouse as far as comfort goes, but it leaves a bit to be desired in terms of usability (very limited DPI settings, laser sensor, easily gets slick from palm sweat). I like to play a variety of games, though MOBA's and FPS games (like League of Legends and CS GO) are probably my most played. I've heard good things about the Logitech G502, but when looking around there's a lot of mice that don't seem to be too much different from each other. Any recommendations, or just go for the G502?

Yeah I recommend a G502 mouse. I have the G502 Proteus Spectrum and it's awesome:)

If you're talking about the Feenix, sure it's got 8200 DPI, but you can only set it in very limited increments of: 800, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, 4800, 6400, and 8200. It was annoying at first when the ideal setting was between 2 increments and you actually had to go into the windows settings to change the mouse speed.

Correct me if i'm wrong but it will stay once you set it. I think you can set your dpi levels. Just set a low sensitivity option between each of your preferred high dpi levels.

As recommendation for the mouse, the proteus core (now spectum) is a good choice. Perhaps, you can look at the corsair m60, mionix NAOS 7000 and CASTOR.

Actually no, it doesn't stay  when you set it. It's not difficult to reset, the buttons behind the scroll wheel adjust it for you, but the mouse has no on-board memory because Feenix wants to reduce points of failure (or some dumb excuse like that) so every time you turn off your PC, you have to reset the DPI settings on the mouse. Annoying, but not the biggest design flaw possible. Definitely will check out the others you recommended as well, thanks!

You can check the EVGA X5 and the ROCCAT TYON as well. (The X5 should fit your budget without breaking your wallet)

If you're really on a tight budget, try the Rival 100. It's kinda cheap but it should last you.

Depends a lot of you want an ergonomic or ambidextrous mouse and what grip do you have.

I own a g502, deathadder, ducky secret, ss rival, zowie ec2-a and in terms of build quality g502 is the king, but it is a heavy mouse. Deathadder and ss rival use super cheap materials and they are to expensive for what they offer. Ducky is nice but heavy, but its shape its a bit tricky. Zowie uses a bit better materials than deathadder and rival, but its scroll wheel is bad. All has somehow the same prices, so you should choose the best shape or better construction materials. Here, g502 doesnt have a league to fight with ... Maybe is to cheap, or others are to expensive and everything is about marketing.

If you dont mind heavy, not very competitive, but with good quality, metal scroll and well positioned buttons, then you should choose g502.

Every not to old mouse is good, you shouldnt care about DPI.
