Something life L4D2 or Dead Island. Doesn't have to be zombie genre but yeah.

Rust is a great game to play with friends, it's not really a CO-OP game but it's a blast to play with friends. You can get for like $5 or $20 for a 4 pack on sale.

When its that price it seems pretty good. Cant convince my friends to drop the cash for it right now tho at $20 a pop.

I 100% agree with aytex, borderlands is an awesome series with countless hours of game time then double that by 999 with the dlc. + the new games coming out soon.

Broforce, Portal, Portal 2, Borderlands 2, Borderlands Pre-Sequal, Rocket league, Castle Crashers, Battle Blocks Theater, Terraria, and Basically any multiplayer Survival Game (me and my friends are really enjoying ARK: Survival Evolved)

Also you can get borderlands 2 ultimate with all dlc for like 20 bucks ( got mine for 8 steam winter sale)

Out of curiosity why no recommendations for borderlands 1? 

Playing through it for the 4th time with some friends,couldn't recommend it enough.

Only reason i didn't recommend it is because i never played it. When I first started playing BL, i was playing on and only had a mac, so there was no BL1 support.

You really should play it sometime.

There's so much that lines up with the second game its amazing.

Also i liked the characters and guns alot more in bl1.

Alright, if I can convince my BL2 friends to buy it then ill start playing it, I've been thinking about it recently but i also have such a back catalog of awesome games that i want to play but haven't had the time.

Some i would recommend would be Rocket league,Magika,Starbound and terraria and for some larger games warframe and Elite: Dangerous.
