another funny part is, my test scores get posted on their database

so there should be a load of fury x's failing and people being told to upgrade to a 960

Probably Fury's aggresive power saving feature at work. Try rerun the test with ClockBlock enable.

Download Crimson 16.2 and run again. On average the Fury X is only getting beat by the 980ti and Titan-X in this test.

hint: the source engine isn't the way to guess how your card's gonna do in vr gaming

It's not the source engine. It's source 2. And every benchmark is just an indication. There can be nothing completely representative.

Because there will be so many non-demanding VR game with simpler graphics and there will also be the likes of Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen.

Valve hasn't been able to do shit properly since Portal 2 so I'm not surprised if the benchmark is entirely fucked.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Yea the card was doing the test and the gpu clocks was around under 10%  ,, looks like a software flaw or the latest amd driver flaw  or both

AMD did say that the new Crimson 16.2 is optimized for this test.

But also Valve seems to say that this test is a GPU benchmark, not a CPU benchmark because it doesn't have stuff that normally loads the CPU like game logic and everything else.
