Pay off student loans for my wife and I, buy a house, and give some to family. I would also donate to my firehouse and ambulance I am part of and some other worthy causes (environment/animal protection, etc.). The rest I would save and enjoy. I think I would still work part time though.

Invest 25 mil into a diverse portfolio. 500k goes to my parents (they're not the type that wants nor could handle such large amounts of money), 750k into bonds for my siblings in case they want it (I respect them if they don't... some people get weird with money), 10 mil goes to me because I'm worth it ofc, the rest goes to libraries and museums in "developing" nations.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

I'm a simple person. I wouldn't waste money on mansions, cars or crap like that. I would spend each dollar of the lottery wisely and for the betterment of not only my life, but those around me.

 

So I would donate directly and not rely on charities, as I do not trust them. I'd go out and feed, cloth and help homeless people (or maybe build my own organization), help poor families struggling to feed their children or pay their bills, donate to hospitals (for cancer and for kids mostly), donate directly to animal and environment reservations and then save the rest for  my family and my (eventual) kids (and maybe for their kids too) so that they can go to college and live without the fears and struggles of poverty.

First, I'd buy the stuff I wanted (powerful Windows machine and MacBook for film work) and I'd buy a ton of video games for my PS2, GameCube, Nintendo 64, Xbox 360, PS3 and GameBoy Advance. With the rest of money, I don't know what I'd buy. Probably just put it into savings, just in case.

Keep maybe $10m for myself and my family. Never work myself to the ground to sustain myself. Instead, go around paying people's debts and teaching them how to spend smarter, or in the case of medical emergency, cover their entire bill if they ever have to think between saving a life and staying out of poverty. The idea of that makes me sick. Basically give people a second chance financially.
