So my build's been running for about 3 weeks, and I've come to realize that theres already a fine later of dust on top pf the case. I've got 2 intakes and 1 outakes if that matters, so positive pressure means air tries to go out from case. I'm just wondering how often one should clean the guts of their machine.

THX

Whenever it looks very dusty/you can see a layer of dust on everything.

Unless you notice your temps increasing you really don't need to dust your computer.

Clean it once the dust visually bothers you or your temps are abnormal. Maybe once every couple months

Depends on the fan speeds and environments really, half the time my fans are not even running

Dust accumulates in, on and around your PC just as a matter of principle. There's so much dust in everyone's house, brushing off your carpet, peeling off your walls and ceilings... You can't stop it from getting everywhere, but if you have dust filters in your PC it's less of an issue. If it's on top of the case, just dust it off.

Well only place I don't have a dust filter is on the outake, so I guess I'm ok for now.

One thing I forgot - it really depends on how dusty your house tends to get, but I normally give it a look every now and then to see how it's doing as far as dust goes. There's no real gauge or schedule for when you should dust it out, you just dust it out when it gets dusty.
