For CSGO? yeah. If you have that kinda money lying around? Not at all.

Beyond overkill, Probably better off upgrading your display to the nicer cheaper free-sync display, and the Xeon 1231v3 is a better value CPU, even at 144hz on 1080p a 980ti would be fairly wasted, and getting the adaptive sync display is going to make every game a lot smoother.
