Ordered a desktop from cyberpower, PSU doesn't make me feel good

So I brought a PC from Cyberpower US last week, and today I just found out people's comment on they crapy "standar PSU"

Does this "standar PSU" really would just blow up and throw me under the bus when I am just enjoying it......?

I mean what brand or what kind of realiblity they acturlly have, do I really need to swap it with a brand PSU?

This is my first time into destop and under the hood stuff, I just used to have out of box laptop, so I really don't feel comfortable to built my own ,escispecially when it comes to high end pc

Typically custom built PCs from builders like Cyberpower, NCIX, etc. tend to use the same PSUs that everyone buys. It's only when you buy a pre-built system like an HP from BestBuy should you worry about the PSU. Because those systems tend to be built down to a price (which is why they're so gosh darn cheap). But they're getting better nowadays.

Open it up and check the brand and model, simple, then you'll know if it's crap or not.

1. It wont blow up ._.

2. If it does they will have to give you loads of money $

3. If it destroys other components they will have to give you a new pc, if your pc is still under warranty (3 years at cyberpower)

4. While researching this, I just found out they're using EVGA PSU's wich are pretty good.

You should be good to go. Just be sure to check the brand and model number on it when you get it, that way if you have any inconsistencies during use, such as freezes or crashes, you will know what to look at first.

You're fine! Your system will draw a maximum of around 300W. Given that's a 600W PSU, even if it's absurdly terrible and is waaay overrated, it should deliver be able to deliver 300W. Given it's 80 Plus certified, it can't be THAT bad, so 300W should be no issue for whatever "standard" PSU you have gotten.

 

No need to worry! :)

 

Although if you extra assurance, go ahead open up the system and see what model PSU you got. Then search up reviews for it.
