That's not something I'd through about and if its conductive when in liquid form I guess it would be when condensed.

I vape in my room and make it foggy while using my computer and nothing has happened to my PC :?

Aside from the potentially harmful stuff for humans, vaping mainly produces water vapour. Which in turn can cause condensation inside his computer, aka water. Even distilled water becomes conductive really quickly if left unchecked, and that is most likely what shorted out his hardware.

 

So yeah, vaping in a room with a computer is a bad idea in general.

I don't think it is from vaping either. I vape a fair amount and there is no residue in my computer, in my home theater amps or on my tv. I don't get any on my glasses either.

 

I used to smoke and my computer was nasty inside. And I only smoked one or two cigs a day. My ex smokes a pack a day and her computer is really nasty, as is her mouse, keyboard and monitor. Cigarettes give off tar and other residue, Ecig vapor has almost nothing in it.

 

My guess is he doing something other than vaping. Like cheating and sneaking a cig here and there. And if he smokes pot or something  it has even more residue then cigs do. It wouldn't take much leave a film inside a computer. I have never seen a computer fail do to smoking though. Unless you never cleaned it and all the fins were plugged and it over heated.

 

Animals can also dirty up a pc. Cats and dogs leave behind a lot of dead skin and hair a computer can suck up.

You're blowing literally clouds around your computer, and i don't know if you noticed, water and PCs don't really mix.

Did he have a humidifier blowing in his room? That would suck up all that and turn it back into water vapor.

There is no water vapor in ELiquids, They did try to use water instead of pg\vg but, the water vaper could collect in the lung  and give the user pneumonia.

I guess it's hard to be sure, but chances are that having your computer operating in a smoggy environment is more likely to be bad for it than it is to be negligible. Whether it caused the components to fail is anyone's guess, but I would say it's a good rule of thumb not to smoke or vape or burn things near a computer that uses air intake.

what is his room a fucking sauna? my best mate is like the biggest vaper in town and you walk in his room and its just like normal it dissipates pretty damn quick and theres no way a 50w copper coil could make a whole room muggy hes got to be growing weed or something in the wardrobe

My HD 7770 and old motherboard died... i don't even smoke my room is clean though it get's dusty fast as it's a small room, dust did not kill them though, and it's not humid.

 

Shit breaks for no reason and it is tough shit most of the time
