Seasonic S12II with high end builds?

Hey guys,

 

So I'm making a parts list for a friend who wants a new PC for $800. I've been thinking about the Seasonic S12II as a power supply. Will it be a good power supply to have in a high end build?

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8GHz | EVGA RTX 2060 SUPER | MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon | G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB @ 3200MHz C14 | EVGA G3 650W

 

Laptop: 2023 Macbook Pro 16" - M2 Max | 64GB RAM | 1TB SSD

How is the build looking at the moment?

I'd recommend EVGA's SuperNova line. Those are some quality-PSUs!

I've got one and it's a solid as a rock in terms of reliability, nothing in an $800 budget could really overload it.

Some of the Supernova line (aka NEX) is shit. Also, you cannot beat Seasonic.

seasonic has some "lower quality" units, but those still sit all the way at the top of the quality chart xD
