maybe you'll have to mix ultra and high settings. Ultra settings don't really look that much better then high if at all (drop in FPS might be a placebo) and the monitor size doesn't matter, just the resolution

To be fair it's the same engine as BF3 with probably a few tweaks. So you can make a ball park estimate

It probably will. With a mix of High settings and Ultra, of course. The Inches don't matter (hehehehehheheh) but the resolution does.

It doesn't look THAT much different from bf3. I think you'll be fine but as the others pointed out there is no way of knowing yet.

it will easly handle it but if you want stable 60fps you might need to get some of the filters down a little bit

I have two 7970's in Crossfire. In all honesty Ultra settings just don't look right. It to me looks a little fuzzy. High looks so much better even when I am not running Crossfire.

Any stuttering or weird shit in bf3 since u run Xfire? Just curious, specially with new 13.8 driver fix : )

After revising the releaser requirements I can say you're safe, as long as the rest of your system can keep up the 7970 won't be a problem at all on that resolution.

Speculating..

 

Would be funny if BF3 had a huge overhead of stuff that was turned off but still had a performance hit on the engine on or off.

Meaning your cards were not delivering the proper BF3 performance, I've always thought deep down BF3 in its entire form has BETA all over it...and also thought its BF4 Alpha data collection at its finest.

BF4 could possibly be very similar performance with everything on, especially tuning the engine further, albiet the performance hit on lower end cards.

 

I have a 7950 @ 7970 and beyond clockspeeds.

I'm guessing instead of pure Ultra, I'll have to drop to 2xAA and thats probably it.

No I have not noticed it, and there has been the 13.10 Beta update to advance it further. BF3 plays like a dream on max settings ;-)
