A good football game for pc?

I do I am on a football team...I do not know what is what and my I was told to play some kind of football game to gain understanding of the game!!

I was about to say FIFA, but apperantlly you don't mean that version of football. 

The was a Warhammer football game, but I don't know if that will suit your needs. There was also Maximum-Football, but I can't remember when that was released.

Yea I wish EA released the newer maddens for PC but unfortunately there is nothing good. THe best is to go to http://ffmadden.wikia.com/wiki/Football-Freaks_Madden_PC_Wiki and MOD your madden 08 game. They have 2013 rosters as well as graphical tweaks (small ones). Its not as good as the newer ones but it will teach you fundamentals of football and have a bit of fun.
