Chrome stuttering and freezing?

Fgtfv567

Today as I browse the internet, I find that Chrome has been stuttering and freezing for a few seconds at a time. This occurs like 10-15 minutes. CPU usage is at 7-ish%, RAM usage is at roughly 50%. This is usually my resource usage and is quite normal, this didn't happen yesterday, but just started happening today, even after a restart. Keep in mind that as Chrome freezes to a halt, I can click on other things like iTunes and Task Manager just fine, this is an isolated incident in Chrome and is not OS-wide.

I ask if any of you guys are noticing this problem, as I remember a while ago that Youtube would force you to watch ads if you had adblock enabled

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Personally, see if there is by chance a missed update. If not, do what @ShiftHitTheFan said.

Had a similar issue. After like a month of trying 100 and 1 different fixes I saw that I was running 32-bit chrome (The default when you download). I installed 64-bit chrome and now I have 0 issues ever.

Make sure you delete all local data for chrome when you uninstall (Note: uninstalling from control panel or revo wont get user profiles)

Open an file explorer window (windows key + e) type in %localappdata% and hit enter

Open the folder titled 'Google' and delete the folder titled 'Chrome' within.

Reinstall Chrome (either from ninite.com or directly from google)

Let us know how it goes.
