My first top-tier pc

Sixto Borrero

I have a budget of $2,000 and I would like to purchase my first top tier PC. I recently made this build on PcPartPicker and I would like some feedback from it, as well as other recommendations within the budget I got.

I don't live in the USA so I'll be flying to buy the parts on Amazon or NewEgg. (If anyone got a better site to purchase the parts it would be much appreciated).

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gQTT8d

PS. Should I assemble my PC in the US to bring it as a carry-on luggage? I've seen many opinions about PC damage when the PC is on the airplane cargo.

and as far as the PC components, I'd leave it on their box instead then assemble them when you get home :)

Wow, if only I had a budget like that when i build my first rig.

But seriously that's actually a pretty well rounded beast machine. And deffinetly don't put a pc through airplane luggage, there litterly won't be pc their when you find it.

More cores are better, and its the same price, however in my mind since the price of skylake has died down, its a better choice to go with Skylake right now.

All is pretty good, except the PSU. It's excellent, not talking about that, it's just an overkill, a huge overkill, unless you plan to go SLI.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Thanks for the feedback guys! You wouldn't imagine how much money it cost a top tier build in my country.

Also thanks for answering my "airplane luggage" doubt.

well , once overclocked , you geet slightly better single core performance than the 6700 k , not to mention you egt two extra cores , which does come in handy.

But i would wait until q2 and get the broadwell e chips instead

6 cpu cores and 12 threads for video rendering and gaming i would take the 5820k over the 6700k easy but you need x99 that might add price

Make sure to check with your airliner that an AIO Is allowed, as it has liquid inside.

Yes, all in one as in the cooler, as you will know it is a water cooler, which uses water ( obviously! ) and a few other cheimcals in the coolant.

Well there are many excellent 650W PSUs, but you know what, ignore my comment. If you're not on a tight budget, and you aren't, just go with it. It's an overkill yes, but it will be an insurance that you can go SLI if needed, or upgrade to a new beefier card.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

If I check my cooler at the airliner, where will they put it exactly?.
