DIY PC Case dust filter : possible at all?!

Go to solution Solved by fueg,

I made a couple of them myself.

I used:

- Pantyhose

- Foamboard (for the frame)

- Adhesive Magnet Strips (to hold everything in place)

I could probably post a picture if you really want to but it's pretty simple. Cut a frame to size, (I used foamboard because it is lightweight), fix pantyhose on the frame (I used glue for that) then install the adhesive magnet strip on the frame. This way you get a fancy magnetic filter like in those new cases, easy to remove for cleaning. Bonus, the magnet provides a good seal!

Is it possible to create simple dust filters of our own? If yes, what do you use to do the same?

Thanks!

one word: pantyhose

two words: dryer sheets, as suggested here:

I would like to see a picture of it : seems like a treat for a DIY PC Enthusiast.

Man! That's a beautifully professional master-piece. Looks just like it came out of the Fractal Design R5 (clean-looking, I mean) Way to go man!
