Did you manage to install the usb drive on the internal port? Which kind of usb header did you use?

I have been searching for the official HP SKU ( HP Internal USB Cable G6 Kit PN: 536769-B21) but it's sold out!

No, I did not ever find the internal header cable so that I could mount the USB drive inside. That being dsaid, I was able to locate the header on the board at least. My solution was to use a small external USB 16 GB flash drive in one of the back ports. Since this was a home use project security wasn't an issue but it still would have been nice having it on the inside. The USB header is a proprietary connector it appears, not as a standard 4/5 or 9/10 pin usb connector of standard pitch.
