This worked for me, ive used input mapper to connect controllers with pc

 

Pair Your Controller Wirelessly or Plug It In

When you connect your DualShock 4 controller to a PlayStation 4 via a USB cable, the controller automatically pairs with the console. To connect your PlayStation 4 controller with a PC, you’ll need to put it in Bluetooth pairing mode.

it should be noted it isnt perfect and I have had games that just outright will not work with it.

I cant remember them off the top of my head.

its more indie games or older games I haven't used a DS4 in ages, not since getting my xbo and esp my xbo elite controller.

I also spilled someone in my ds4 controller and its been a huge pain in my ass to clean it every time I disassemble it and try and clean it its buttons are still stuck..so im kinda fed up with it if im honest.
