Hello!

Newbie to the forums here too. Are you subscribed to Linus's channel on YouTube? I think he did a video recently where he was given a very small budget for a PC and it may help you out quite a bit. Also, I recommend using PCPartPicker.com so you can get the most bang for your buck. It shows the best price for any list of items you choose. You can even follow an item and get notifications if it goes on sale for a specific website!

AFAIK, Ark runs like shit so expect this to not run it as smoothly as other games. Will run BF4 well though.

Most games only need four threads. Trust me, the i3 4170 will surpass most of AMD's offerings in gaming due to its higher IPC.

Better upgrade path as well.

Welcome to the addiction that will consume the rest of your life, PC Enthusiasm. That aside, this is the PC I would build for $500 USD (which does not include OS or Peripherals). Even though it has an AMD CPU that would be best for your budget in a 1080p gaming system because of it being a quad core CPU. To install Windows, you will have to download the installation media to a flash drive which you can do here and if you are looking for cheap Windows activation codes click here. Hope I helped and remember that you can always upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. Happy Building!

On that motherboard the upgrade path is slim.

Not true. An i5 4460 will do fine on that mobo.

The HDD on this thing sucks, but on a tight budget going for a poor HDD is a good way to get a better gpu. This has a hexacore processor, so thats good, and it should run most games just fine. The GPU im not too sure about, so double check that before u buy it, i just went with the most expensive gpu that fit the budget. But this should be a pretty solid choice for your price point,

For a better performance Pc you must uprise your budget(in my opinion).

You can rise upto 100 or 150$ easily and than go for.a banging PC that can play BF4,COD BO3..
