no, the article suggests that amd did in fact re-bundle fx8370 with a new cooler. It does not suggest a new part at all.

So SemiAccurate posted this image a few days ago in their article named AMD’s Wraith cooler is as silent as they claim :

They suggest that some info about an unreleased CPU can be extracted from the reflections in the image using GIMP or another image editing tool. Would anybody give a shot at this? I'm familiar with GIMP but I'm not too sure how to proceed about that one.

I'd rather be thinking about the box where the CPU is covered with "S|A". There's nothing saying that's also a 8370.

On the other hand, thank god? The last time I was actually able to put up with a stock AMD cooler was when I slapped an FX-8350 cooler on an Athlon 64 X2 (which actually worked amazingly).

I know what you mean, I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying that they can do that legally and it's not wrong from legal perspective in any way to advertise like that
