[Build Log] Elysium Computer Build

Hey Guys! Welcome to not only my First post on the Forum, But The Build Log for my Latest Project: Elysium, A Black & White Themed Build.

 

Parts List

 

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler 
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard 
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card  
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  
PSU: Corsair CM 650w
Total: $975.83
 
 
Purchased The Case, And installed the Motherboard and Power Supply. I Will be buying a White Sleeved 24 Pin Cable Extension to Hide that (ugly) Corsair One.

Basic Cable Management So Far, NZXT Makes it great to store cables and hide the PSU in the basement of the case.

RAM Arrived, Installed the 8GB Dimms into the Motherboard.

i assume you are going to custom paint the GPU black and white, as the stock cooler doesn't match. I must say, I love the black and white theme, though

Actually will be purchasing the OC Version I Believe, It has a B & W Scheme.

Warning, if you are going to change that PSU later, prepared to remove almost everything to replace it. Basically unessesary work :P

I'd be willing to do that just to have my system up and running for a few weeks... actually I did have to do that when my first PSU was defective out of the box and I had to get a new one... pain in the ass

It was $40 New from the boys at Micro Center. I'm more concerned with getting it to run as of now, But will splurge later.

UPDATE: 1

 

The main Idea for this build from the start was blending looks into a budget performance machine. Like i said earlier, I am mainly going for a black and white theme. I found these NZXT White 1m LED's on Amazon for about $11 Shipped. They were easy to install, and Help Tie Together the look of the Build.
