Corsair GS800 VS Corsair TX750

I am building a computer for a friend using a 6600K and i am planning on gifting him a graphics card later on. Both of the PSUs arepowerful enough to handle a graphics card so my only concern is noise. Which one produces overall less noise (coil whine and fan)?

I am a member of the PCMasterRace. I am terribly sad to announce that I own a PeasantStation 3 Super Slim. it's in a drawer away from my glorious PC.

I have a TX650m and it's silent. I haven't heard in the 2 months I've had it.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 @ Stock, CPU cooler: Dark Rock 4, Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-M2 MAX, RAM: 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 @ 3000Mhz, GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ACX 3.0, SSD: Crucial P1 1TB M.2 + 2x120GB SSDs, Case: Corsair 110R, PSU: Corsair TX650M, OS: Windows 10 64-bit.

Why such powerful psus for a 6600k?--even if you're going to put a dedicated gpu later.

Corsair's TX series is built with higher quality components, so if you don't really need the extra 50 watts, I suggest taking the TX over the GS, though I've heard that they aren't a bad series of PSUs either.

TX are higher quality. They only thing compelling for the GS series is the LEDs and the cheaper price.

I would go with the TX psu. But if you are running a single gpu, the Corsair TX650 V2 psu is a good power supply. The fan only turns on after 40% load and when the temp reaches 49C: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost.php?p=624187&postcount=14
