What Linux distro for older laptop?

I have 6yo Lenovo Thinkpad T60 with C2D 2.2GHz cpu, 2-3Gb (can't remember) ram and radeon X1400 gpu. Its been running WinXP but I'm now thinking of installing Linux on it. Its going to be in light work and travel laptop, not need for gaming anymore. What I wan't from distro are Gnome desktop, Wine support (I'll test if my office pack works decently) and good power management settings. I have used ubuntu before but I can get another if they are lighter.

Mint is good, but you can get even more lightweight with Crunchbang!:)

Arch Linux on Samsung 840 EVO 120GB: Startup finished in 1.334s (kernel) + 224ms (userspace) = 1.559s | U mad windoze..?

Installed Mint and now its almost faster than my main pc (win7+ssd). Thanks.

puppylinux is pretty good it has almost nothing :) or mint is good to.
