Case Airflow: Positive or Negative Pressure?

ProfessorShroom

So I was wondering what you guys prefer, positive or negative pressue? I have a Define R5 with 2 140mm intakes at the front with 2 120mm exhausts on the top (on my radiator) and then I have 1 140mm intake on the rear to make the airflow positive in my case but I was wondering if I should maybe make it an exhaust to aid the natural airflow to the rear of the case? All LTT Noctua fans!

My first setup had negative air pressure and I had to clean dust out of it like a madman (given it was on the floor, but even my current computer is in the same spot).  With positive air pressure I put this computer together maybe a little over half a year ago and it's nearly dustfree, even the swiss cheese that Antec proposes as a solution to the dust filter in my case never gets dirty.

Positive so you don't have to dust your case every 5 days.

I have experience with having to do this: it sucks. Literally.

1 200mm intake, GPU intake, 3X 120mm exhaust.

I'm just concerned that the rear 140mm fan should be an exhaust, I wonder if switching the top 120mm fans to intakes and only having 1 exhaust would be an issue.

That is a perfect idea, you should always have a bit more intake than exhaust.
