What would be better to minimize dust, buy a filter or add another fan?

Rustic_Chaos

Would adding filter to my case be better than adding another fan in the frount to change the air pressure so air is pushed out thought the holes not pulled in?

Depends on the layout. If all your intakes have filters, it's worth maintaining a positive pressure. If at least 1 intake isn't filtered, it's pretty much not worth it.

Yes, my intakes do have filters, the whole of the front is filterd.

It depends on case and other things. You can't add intake fan without getting filter for it anyway.

My case is an NZXT Source 220, and the full front panel has a dust filter

Each intake fan needs dust filter. So if you now have 2 intakes, there's no point getting 3rd because you would need another filter. Exhaust fans don't need filters as air and dust is already coming from case. What you can do if you are using 2 exhaust fans is to remove one of them. Using positive air pressure is best along with filters to keep dust out.

If you want to get creative, adding filtering material to every hole will help also.

Ok. Then extra fan is better than more filteration.

If you don't mind noise, any 1200-1400 rpm 120mm fan will do. I don't really know about fans as I only have recent experience from NZXT basic fans and Bitfenix Spectre/Pro fans. Bitfenix ones are good for price but bit on noisy side.

If your temps are good, and your dust problems mainly due to negative pressure, you could try slowing down the 140 mm fan enough to switch to positive pressure.  Otherwise I'd go with another 120 mm fan in the front.

My temps are quite bad so I will get another fan
