SSD on top of HDD?

If your case is old you will need to buy 3.5 inches mount for your SSD. Its cheap. Now if you dont have enough space i dont see anything wrong with just leaving it as it is. Just make sure it doesnt touching any important part of your PC. On top of your HDD should be fine i think.

it`s not a problem I have that in my setup with a piece of plexi between the HDD and SSD.

No. The cosmic forces involved in the daily functions of an SSD crossed with a HDD would tear the universe in half.

Ok thanks everyone. I think temperatures will be fine because my intake is right in front of the cage.
