Gaming headset for under $150 (£100)

VeNoMzZxHD

Sorry if this is already a thread, but I wanted a recommendation for a sub $150 headset for pc gaming (and hopefully ps4). Preferably 5.1 at least, but I am open to all suggestions. :)

Fair enough, thanks for the advice. In that case, can anyone recommend a good stereo gaming headset (pc/Ps4) for under $150?

 NOTE: Must have mic

I don't know much about consoles if it was just for pc I would recommend these with a modmic http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD700-Open-air-Audiophile-Headphones/dp/B000CMS0XU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378238741&sr=8-1&keywords=ath+d700

ATH-M35 with a separate mic like a ModMic.

this is if you are looking for a premium sound quality. but if you absolutely want  a mic on your Headphones then go try out a couple of them at your local store. and pic the one that feels good for you and also sounds good.

How do you feel about a clip on mic or a desk mic? Are you that bother about having the mic integrated into the headset in an all in one setup. As people have suggested, you will generally get better sound quality with a separate pair of headphones, prefereably open backed and a mic.

Buy headphones, then buy a cheap microphone. XJacker should have an adapter for the new consoles when they're released.
