Why all the hate for Ubisoft?

I mostly dislike them because of Uplay, all the other stuff they do nearly every other studio pulls at one point in time or another, they just seem to have become the internet's punching bag.

Uplay... it's horrible and the fact that you have to have it installed even if your game is on steam.
