A minitower I could fit into a travelling bag/that's portable for around 100?

saras

Basically what is said in the topic title.

This is kind of what I need:

mATX (ATX is a bit too large, ITX comes with too much a premium. Of course, there's leeway a particularly small atx solution is also viable likewise to a cheap ass ITX one)

Can fit a 160mm PSU

Can fit most, but not necessarily the largest graphics cards. (The card is currently unknown and will be for quite a while. So I want to have options while going through the second hand market, but there's no need for something especially massive. Think something along the lines of a standard 280 or a 770)

1x 3'5 would be nice, but not necessary, SSDs I can velcro whereever.

I have no use for ODD bays whatsoever(I'd also highly prefer none, as I think they're ugly and it is wasted space).

The cooler will be either a top-down one or something like a h80, so relatively narrow is fine.

Something like htpc design would be nice. But ultimately, it needs to be as small as it can be given the conditions.

Let's stick to a 100 euro budget. I can go a bit over that, but I oh so much prefer to go lower. So, anything to suggest?

Wait are you looking for a case or a whole pc? Cause you can't get a pc for 100 dollars :P

Get a Fractal Design Core 500.

The "ITX Premium" these days is not that expensive, and the cost savings from the case will make up for it. It takes full size tower coolers, full length GPUs, and the only limitation is PSU length. It takes ATX PSUs, but if they're too long they'll interfere with the GPU. Plus the giant mesh air intakes on the top and side have large magnetic dust filters. It's a great case for such a low price. It even supports 240mm AIO water coolers if you can go without the 5.25" bay, all in the same size as a CM Elite 130.

I wish I could, but sadly I'll go with just the case.

The price is attractive but it seems to be rather tallish. I have no reference to the 130.

The cheapest z170 board I can find goes for roughly 150. So there's a premium to found there. But that looks like an option to to be considered.

SG13.

I kind of like how it looks, I'll have to consider this a bit more

It's just about the smallest it could possibly be and still fit a full size GPU. The motherboard lays flat, so the case is only as wide as the motherboard. It's only as long as a full length GPU, and it's only as tall as what we would consider a full size GPU is "wide" (due to orientation), well assuming that you have some leeway for actually including the enclosure. To say it's big means you're going to limit GPU size to at least some degree to cram things in there, as there's no other way to fit it all. Here's my system in it, and as you can see it's as small as it could possibly be and still fit a full size GPU. Yes there's an ATX PSU in there (EVGA 650 GS) and a CM 212 Evo cooler.

The Silverstone SG13 seems to support everything I need(same GPU size, Single fan AIO, ATX psu), while being 7 litres smaller. So unless I find a reason why it isn't going to work. Chances are, I'm going with that.

Let me put it to you this way, that GPU in my build is longer than the SG1. My GPU is 11.6 inches while the SG13 is only 11.2 inches long at the longest exterior dimension. It wouldn't fit in it. If you don't need large GPU support, you're fine. If you do, you need a larger case.

Oh, that is most definitely a minus. The reference designs are exactly 10.5 so there are at least some options still available.

The PSUs are also only supported up to 150mm, which is 10 too few. I originally planned on the seasonic M12II 520/620 Evo, but that won't be an option if I stick with it. Anything like that, just shorter?

That said. I do prefer the looks of the SG13 by quite a wide margin. I'll have to think quite hard, as to what to do and whether I could live with it.
