Classic clean look..

Hi Guys ,

I'm new here and newish to computers (I've been out the game a while). Late last year i started thinking about a new rig, then committed.

Here are the Parts i picked:

• Corsair Air 240
• Intel i5-6600k
• Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5
• Galax/KF2A GTX 970 4Gb
• Corsair RM650x
• Avexir 8Gb DDR4 2400MhZ
• Samsung 120Gb 850 EVO
• WD 1Tb Drive
• Corsair H105i
• Many Fans..

 

So i started by gutting the case, removing all the panels and cages etc..

 

 

 

I then changed the front fans for (SP120s in the picture, changed them to Antec Tru Quiet UFO120's). Put both fans from the front into the roof.

 

 

 

 

Next i set about Attaching the backplate for the H105, then installing the board itself.

 

 

 

 

Now for the H105, my first ever radiator and i wont lie, i did not go smoothly.. Alot of fiddling and i swear i removed the fans and radiator about 10 times. I eventually got the thing in so i was happy. (After i got everything in place i then realised the rad and fans had to come out yet again as the 24pin would have to be seated first).

 

 

 

 

 

 RAM was up next (wasnt till i had the computer running i realised that the lights on the RAM pulsate instead of a solid colour  :unsure:).

 

 

 

Now the part i was dreading, the power supply and the drives   (mainly just because i am impatient and just wanted to get it up and running). Wasn't the best job but i could have been a whole lot worse id say  .

 

 

 

 

My second favourite part now, installing the Graphics card. I do realise it's a very tight squeeze.

 

 

 

I added an LED strip and put the SP's on the rear of the rad. All the panels back on, a little tidy up here and there and we are ready to go.

 

 

I did buy an external DVD drive, it didnt work so routed some cables and now have it sitting on top, not very pretty but it does the trick.

 

Thanks for taking a look, hope you enjoyed reading this, i just thought i put this up here for fun. Be cool to here what other people think and if they have any ideas on what i can do next.

Noice ...must get micro ATX next build...no more midi towers...such a pain to transport to lans...(I feel so sorry for the people who have full towers...)

Been to insomnia 55 (last summer) and a few much smaller LANs...but this time, I can actually walk there instead of having to drive 400 miles to get there...
