It doesn't matter at all. That said MSI is my favorite brand for gpus and motherboards, and usually I like to match the motherboard and gpu brands, typically them fitting together better in terms of aesthetics. The black and red MSI motherboards go perfectly with the Twin frozr gpus.

It doesn't matter, some people prefer to get the same brand but it's just to match the design.

MSI is fine, but there's no technical reason to match your video card manufacturer to that of your motherboard. Maybe if you're going for a particular aesthetic.

OP actually see what cards best by looking at benchmarks for the games you're going to play. They beat each other on certain games so base your judgement on that. I personally have a 970 and love it
