New CPU possible bottleneck in games?

Plenty fast. A 4770K is still a monster. Hell, I'd be comfortable running that sort of setup in my machine and I have a 2600K.

Oh yeah easily. At higher resolutions the GPUs tend to hit 100% usage before the CPU can. I am assuming max settings also.

So.. Right now I have a i7 4770k that's been a alright overclocker with 4.4ghz at 1.25V. However I feel like I could get better with two 980 Ti lightnings. Been thinking about Skylake with a 6700k. Would upgrading yield much besides bragging rights?

From what you've told us, there is no bottleneck.

 

An overclocked i5 could most likely handle 2 x 980 Tis

Ehh I wouldn't push it. At 1440p they would a smidge bit, maybe 10-15%, at 4k the bottleneck would be almost un-noticable though at 1080p ( I've seen people do it... ) a i5-4690k-6600k would not be a good choice.
