I want to play new games like gta 5 and just cause 3... 720p medium with 35+ fps will do the job for me.

I'd recommend a 860k+380 combo over that. Unless you already have the pentium in which case pair it with a 380

It would still be better for you to get a 380 over the 960, its usually cheaper and its 10-15 percent more powerful.

No, getting a GPU will still provide better performance gains in GTA 5 than getting a new CPU.

If he gets a CPU and the GPU is shitty then the point is all lost.

Even an i3 4170 is bottlenecking a 380 how can something with 3k points on passmark not bottleneck it?

why not just get an 860k and a R7 370. They are cheaper but make a better combo. And please, ladies stop fighting lol.

You should not use a AMD GPU with a dual-core and its even worse without hyper-threading! So my advice is a 750Ti or 950... :)
