Ubisoft aren't refraining from publishing an Assassin's Creed game this year because they wish to optimize it or direct attention toward a proper PC port.

 

They're refraining because they got burned on Syndicate, and need to recoup their investment with 2016's releases. Which include Far Cry Primal, South Park: Fractured But Whole, The Division, among other releases.

Not a good testament to your history classes then. Joke aside, it is nice to see that they do not fart out another game so quickly, even though I am not a fan of the franchise, giving games a longer development cycle is always good news for the consumer and programmers alike.

They've been doing that WITH their games over these past years...

 

Something new would be nice... like... actually NEW mechanics...

I was disappointed with how watch_dogs wrapped up and even after playing Tbone's DLC, it still feels a bit short...
